Systech International / Costain Plc. Managing £100 million (steelwork and fit-out package) of a £2 billion nuclear defence project, including commercial contract management and quantity surveying. Managing and implementing over 500 compensation events, some contentious due to change. Providing commercial management services and dispute avoidance advice. Preparing, issuing and agreeing change orders.  Resolving a long-term issue with delays causing problems at C-level for all parties and assessing the value of 2,000 days of prolongation. Building a trusting relationship with the client, resulting in a contract extension from 3 months to 4.5 years

Additional Information

In his spare time, Andrew is a keen golfer and a proud member of one of the world’s oldest golf clubs, The Glasgow Golf Club, established in 1787. Continuing his golfing bond, he has also acted as honorary treasurer to the Chartered Surveyors’ Golfing Society (Scotland) from 2021 to 2025. He was also a volunteer coach at the West of Scotland Rugby Club from 2022 to 2024.
